Hi! I'm JP Hailing from Northern Kerala, the land renowned as “God’s own country”, India, Jayaprkakash Payyanur is a seasoned professional with a number of film projects, celebrity shoots, product shoots, news photography and major event coverage in his repertoire. JP, as he is known in the South Indian movie circles, has started his career in 1992 and ventured different areas of this unique art over a period of time. In 1999 he further expanded his career interests into the glamour world of films as a still photographer debuting in the Mohanlal starrer ‘Narasimham’. He became an independent film photographer with the film ‘Ayirathiloruvan’ directed by Sibi Malayil. He has worked with eminent directors like Kamal, TK Rajeevkumar, Lohithadas, Anil Babu, Jayaraj, Jose Thomas, Shafi, Johnny Antony and V K Prakash to name a few. His filmography has now crossed 65 films and has contributed to many magazines including Manorama Weekly, Vanitha and Mathrubhumi. He has worked as a staff photographer of ‘Take:1’, an international celebrity magazine published from Dubai and ‘Mayoori Cinema’, a film monthly edited by award winning filmmaker Blessy. JP has been working in Dubai for last 11 years as permanent photographer for several leading brands in the UAE.
